A chance to flex your creative muscles and show what you’re really capable of. Right? A recent quiet period forced me, reluctantly, to embark on this most well worn of paths. I opened up my little book of ideas, saved for such a moment, and set to work. As the days turned into weeks, all I had to show for my efforts was a bunch of disparate concepts. In desperation I decided to embrace my lack of focus and make a piece about the dysfunction of my process. The result? I made a personal project about making a personal project. The moral of this story? If you’re looking for a motion designer then you should definitely hire me. Obviously. animation for their client Innovaccer, whose aim is to make healthcare data easier to access and use. The brief was to create a clear visual style to present one of their key services. Working within existing brand guidelines, I developed a clean and concise approach that could represent data (a key component of the service) and more abstract concepts around how the service worked. The brief was to find a fun way to communicate how they have helped their clients to engage more meaningfully with their customers. Each video needed to be under 1 minute long and work without audio. I worked with their in-house designer to develop a visual treatment and animation style that was flexible enough to work across several different subject matters and could be easily broken down into smaller sections for use on social media. &amp; How. I worked with the team to produce two animations -&nbsp;part of a larger brief for their client WSP. WSP are a global organisation that provide sustainable engineering solutions for a wide variety of sectors. The work they do can be complex and difficult to explain. The challenge was to find a way to distill a high level of detail into the short form of an animated explainer. The team at How &amp; How place a lot of emphasis on research and creative exploration, investing a good amount of the schedule into developing different ideas and approaches. This allowed us to overcome various creative and technical challenges that we came across during the project.
